I know I just posted about Tol Barad on another one of my blogs, but I just finished another Tol Barad attacking game on my warlock, and I am just sick of World of Warcraft pvp.
It is full of players that love running around pillars and line of sighting people. I know this might be fun for druid healers and others but for a spell casting class it can be very frustrating for a player to run out of LOS just before you complete a cast.
That is really just a small irritant compared to the biggest problem of Tol Barad being almost impossible for attackers and what a waste of a high level pvp zone it is. It just seems like Blizzard can't make a really fun and rewarding pvp zone or battleground. They all get pretty repetitive after a while and they feel rehashed and uninspired.
The Battle for Gilneas if just a smaller Arathi Basin and Twin peaks isn't that great either. I just wish that battlegrounds and pvp had the same production value that the raids and dungeons had.
The new cataclysm dungeons are some of the best dungeons I have ever been too. I think part of the problem is most of WoW's developers are really into pve and can't make great pvp.

Corroded Skeleton Key
The Corroded Skeleton Key costs sixty Frost Emblems. It is a trinket that provides 228 stamina and an activated shield that absorbs 6400 damage and lasts for 10 seconds and has a 2 minute cooldown.
The reason I got this trinket for my warlock is arena and battlegrounds. This trinket is useless for me in instances but a great asset in pvp. I'm really happy with it, it took me a long time to get up enough Frost Emblems since all I do is the daily dungeon and the occasional VOA.
I usually only play my 2v2 arena team with my wife, she is a rogue, and I am a warlock. So nine times out of ten I am targeted first. This shield and stamina give me a lot of protection against getting instant gibbed against double mages and what not.
Plus I am affliction so my character is always gaining health from my corruptions, haunt, and drain life. If I am running low on health I will pop this trinket and absorb some damage while I drain life and get bonus health from the Death's Embrace talent.
Overall I don't know if its really worth the sixty Frost Emblems for every class, but I highly recommend it for warlocks.

Shadow Priests Seem Lacking
Back a few years ago when Burning Crusade was the newest expansion out, I leveled a Priest to 70 and did some Arena and Battlegrounds with him. My talents were in the Discipline tree, and I was a pretty good healer that could take a hit and continue to heal my allies and then toss a quick heal on myself. I remember at level 70 seeing Shadow Priests was pretty common, but I noticed at level 80 that I rarely see a Shadow Priest anymore.
The other day I decided to dust him off and try him out again. I know before that Shadow was the leveling spec, but when I was looking at it, it seemed really boring with nothing really new even though he has new talents and a couple new spells. One new talent gives you a fear-like ability that fears them for three seconds and they drop their weapon for ten seconds. That sounds a lot like deathcoil.
Plus all their spells are pretty boring all you do is Vampric Embrace, Mind Blast, then Searing Pain until the moster is down. Pretty easy and pretty boring in my opinion. Seems like Shadow doesn't have that many spells to use and seem pretty immobile with not that many escape mechanics to get away from Melee.
It's no wonder I don't see Shadow Priests anymore I think that class is on its' death bed for pvp at least.

New Warsong Gulch
I was browsing the Official WoW forums and saw a post about a new battleground for the expansion. I was pretty excited to click on the post, but soon my excitement faded as I read further about it. If you want to read it.
The new bg is called Twin Peaks. It seems that this new battleground is just a new map for Warsong Gulch. It has the same victory conditions the first side to capture three flags wins. The major difference in this map is there is a choke point bridge in the middle of the map. You can go around the bridge but it will slow you down a lot as you swim across.
I wonder if druids will have an advantage because they can just shape shift into swimming form and might be able to skip the bridge.
Another change is there will be two graveyards for each team, I think this is a great improvement because nothing is worse than getting camped at gy, or right when you spawn the enemy tags everyone with an aoe so you can't mount up and get to the flag.
This is just the first new battleground that they've revealed for the expansion, I'm hoping the will reveal more soon.

New BattleGrounds
Please oh please retire the old battlegrounds. Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley are over three or four years old, and I am sick of playing them. Everytime I see them popup I almost always just leave, because I am so tired of playing them. I have been to each one too many times. I just don't understand why they can't have a larger variety of bgs.
Alterac Valley isn't as bad in my opinion, because it's received so many changes through the years. But the latest implementation is pretty lame.
Warsong Gulch is simply the worst for me. All it is capture the flag, they have made it shorter by adding a time limit and make flag carriers take more damage if they hold the flag for a long period of time.
I just wish they added new battlegrounds as often as they add new dungeons.
